| Liana (a.k.a Li) is the creator and main contributor to Search Marketing Gurus and has assembled a well rounded group of professional search marketing professionals to contribute to the blog.
Li has an extensive I.T. and marketing background, holding degrees in both Public Relations and Information Systems. In a prior life, Li was a database and visual basic programmer who "found the light" with search marketing back in 1999.
Li's main areas of contribution to Search Marketing Gurus is Natural Search Optimization, Blog Promotion, Search Industry News, Link Baiting & Viral Marketing with a sprinkling of PR for the Web mixed in.
Li is an active contributor and moderator on the SEO and Social Media forums at Crea8site Forums, she also contributes from time to time on High Rankings, Search Engine Watch and Webmaster World Forums. She has also been a speaker at the Search Engine Strategies conference on the Search & Images and Search & Regulated Industries panels.
Working professionally in the search marketing field since 1999, Li has run her own company, worked for both and agency and a Fortune 500 Internet Retailer as the Natural Search Marketing Manager, she is now currently employed as the Director of Internet Marketing for KeyRelevance , a Search Marketing Strategies Firm based out of Dallas, TX and resides in Limerick, PA with her Rescue Greyhound, "Reilly"

Simon has close to a decade of integral experience in developing web sites for a vast variety of clients. For seven of those years, he delved in the local search field working on sites and applications for, amongst others, 4 of the 5 largest telecommunication companies in the US.
Simon’s astute knowledge of the immense and complex internet landscape has enabled him to excel in a myriad of technical formats. As a consultant, he has flourished in online application and site development as well as online yellow pages application and development. Other successful endeavors include senior software engineer / technical lead and senior manager of search engine marketing.
Simon writes on a variety of Search Marketing topics for his own blog, SearchEngineTigers, as well as for several industry leading sites. He also speaks at numerous national and international conferences on topics ranging from Social Media to Reputation Management to general Search Marketing issues. He is the founder of the Virginia SEM meetup group, and currently serves as the Vice President of Public Relations for the Manassas Community Toastmasters.
