14 Great Things About Chicago SES '06
Just because I know Danny Sullivan hates those top five or top ten or top twenty, I present to you a wrap up of sorts with 14 things I learned at SES Chicago. Feel free to add your own - I'll see if I can dig up some pictures to match what you learned.

#14. Even though 14 SEO Professionals can help clients find their way to the top of the Search Engine Rankings, they have a HELL OF A TIME finding their way out of Chicago's Chinatown & even a tougher time working a metro card machine! |
#13. I had fun with HatBait, but I swear it wasn't me who was THIS cruel to EvilGreenMonkey (Rob Kerry)! |
#12. Neil Patel has great advice for using Wikipedia ("Don't be a Dick"),& you can ask him how he got that bruise, but please don't ask him to have Peter Parker take a picture of Spiderman, we're not sure if he'd understand. |
#11. Did you know that Matt Cutts isn't the only MC in the SEO Business? I bet you didn't know that Detlev Johnson moonlites as MC-DJ! ;) |
#10. Yahoo! may not be able to find the peanut butter, but they can find juggling bartenders who are much hotter than Tom Cruise in Cocktail. |
#9. Ken Jurina, first and formerly know as "some guy", now, "The Cheesey Ass SEO". Ask Rand, I'm sure he'd looove to explain that one! (psst.. I know SOMEONE has that picture, so send it to me!) |
#8. Lisa Barone, Rebecca Kelly & I (Li Evans) are not SEO Fan Girl. But, we do know who she is .. and we've become her followers. Watch out sexy SEO men! |
#7. I learned two things about Aussie Webmaster ... 1) he doesn't live in Aussie-Land (Australia), and 2) he's a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan like me. Yeah, Yeah, we know, we know...TRUST US we know! |
#6. Any keynote speech/interview that can drop the "F" Bomb and say bullshit will certainly catch the conference goers attention, and also spill a lot of coffee on the conference room floor. |
#5. Watching WebmasterRadio.FM's "The Search Pulse" with Chris & Barry live is great, watching Eddie at the controls in person is even better! |
#4. Dave & Irma Wallace are the cutest SEO couple on Earth, Period, end of story. |
#3. I have to travel to Chicago to meet SEO folks who live closer to me than SEO FanGirl. Kim & Eric Berg (40 minutes away), Chris Boggs (40 minutes away), Alan Dick (1.5 hours away), Loren Baker (1.5 hours away). SEO Fan Girl ... she's in France how far away that is from Philly? |
#2. Ward Tongen & David Temple are EVERYWHERE (ssshhhh! don't listen to them when they say I'm everywhere!) |
#1. I'm a DaveN fangal (I think he's utterly hilarious), but I obviously don't stand a chance next to Mike Grehan! |

If you weren't everywhere how could you have all these pictures? Besides you haven't figured out Ward and I were following you. That's why you thought we were everywhere you were. Whatever, great fun was had by all.

David - you are the best. I had so much fun hanging out with you! Wish I could convince someone to send me to China so get to see you in action over there! You were really amazing speaking to the restaurant staff on Wednesday :)
I hope you are going to NYC!
