Just Who Is Third Door Media Anyway?

Thirddoormedia You likely haven't heard of Third Door Media just yet, but I'm sure you've heard of at least one of their three brands.  Which one?  How about Search Engine Land?  With the launch of SEL's new design today and it actually being their first "official" day in operation, I got to poking around the site.  I noticed a link at the very bottom of the page that led me to Third Door Media.

I have to really commend Danny Sullivan for putting everything in place.  I don't know about the rest of the audience, but I feel this is likely the smartest move Danny could have ever made.  He's going to be in total control and will not have to watch "his baby" be sold off again and watch as others figure out the direction it should be pointed in.

So here's a little background about Third Door Media that I could gather from the site.
It's Mission (in part):
