Best of the Web & IMNY Charity Event's Great Success
The folks at Best of the Web and the IMNY group, certainly know how to throw a great charity fund raising event. Tonight's gathering at the Towne Tavern in New York City was a lot of fun and a great time (and hey, any NYC bar that has Eagles stuff in it, is a great bar in my opinion). I got to meet a lot of new people, some who before tonight were merely just avatars on Sphinn. It was just a fun time and all for a great cause.
There was a lot of prizes to be raffled off as well. A few people even walked away with two prizes, after buying Jamal Niland (really that's Greg, but we know I never get his name right) body length strips of tickets. I however just bought 3, and came away with a nice Yahoo backpack, and no Tamar you still can't have it!
Chris Boggs, even made a surprise appearance at the event, traveling up to New York City by train from Washington DC where he's speaking at eMetrics (which, if you haven't noticed we're live blogging that event!). Neil Patel just had to try on a Best of the Web tank top, which seemed to fit rather well. Then he some how coaxed Danny Sullivan (who was sportin' some pretty funky Vans tonight) into modeling the Best of the Web tank top too. I captured some funny pictures, let me tell you. If you'd like to see all the pictures I took from tonight's event, check out my SMX Social New York City flickr set, I'll be adding more to there as I take them.
Congrats BoTW and IMNY, you guys put on a great event!

Wow... the tank top photos are disturbing. Looks like a blast though and for a terrific cause!
