Hotdogs, Rubick's Cubes, Gene Simmons, Will Smith and Mike Grehan, What More Could You Ask For?

It's been a few months since I've done a post highlighting some really great posts that I've come across while traversing this wonderful spans of the internet.  Thanks to stumbleupon as well, I find myself stumbling across even more great things.  So tonight I present a mishmash of videos, articles and blog posts for your enjoyment and even education.

• Anthony from Old School SEO shares with us his great tips on becoming a better blogger.  His post, 16 Tips to Becoming a Blogger Worth Following, is definitely well worth the read.
• While Anthony shared 16 tips with his audience, Simon shared 14 Skits About Search Marketing.  If you are a Monty Python fan, this is a definite must read, besides, "its only a flesh wound!"
• Kalena has a great post that features a "dumbass of the week".  This one has to be read, seriously, I bet you'll find yourself shaking your head, just like I was, when I first read that article.
• NickyCakes points out the Top 10 Worst Sites for Making Money.  This "reformed black hat" adds some great humor into his post as he points out just how awful he thinks site like JohnChow.com, JamesMartell.com and WhoIsAndrewWee.com really are.
• While NickyCakes is pointing out those sites, Connie Reese of EveryDotConnects, shares with us a great conversation that happened on Twitter amongst some marketers.  This post really helps to highlight another way that Twitter can be useful, so check out Marketing Ideas for Online Grocery Delivery Services.
• That brainstorming on Twitter leads me to point out Mary Schmidt's totally dead on post "Marketing is Broken and I'm Thrilled!"  She nails it totally, the brainstorming Connie did demonstrates it even more.
• You can see we're going down a path here, so just follow me along with two more posts.  One from one of my favorite blogs, Cre8Buzz, which shows how much we think a like.  Ken wrote a post "It's the Community Silly" (a few weeks ago I wrote a post on SEM Clubhouse, entitle "It's About the Conversation Silly!") which really echoes why mainstream ad agencies are "getting it".  The second site that helps to point out the different ways of thinking yet sites not quite adapting is Dave Fleet's "PR Web Takes the Social Out of the Social Media Release".
• Moving over to branding, SEO Smarty shares with us a really neat post about "Colorizing Your Brand".  Check this out, it's definitely a great read, with a useful chart on what the different colors mean to most people.  Another great branding article that I recently came across is by The Branding Insider.  They have a nice list of 10 Steps to Successful Corporate Branding.
  
• Craig Newmark of Craig's List, appeared at Pubcon this past December and I tell you, he's one keynote speaker I enjoyed (unlike that other guy).  Craig recently appeared on a panel at Columbia university, giving praise to the Dove initiative.  You really should read this post on AdFreak, to get the full story, including what he suggested the company should do with Vanity Fair Magazine.
• Moving over to some blogging issues, Jason shares with his audience "45 Working Sites to Quickly Submit Your RSS Feeds" and WebGeek shares with us "How to Benefit from Website Scrapers".
• Looking to Linking, Deb's got a great read with her article, "Silence of the Link Lambs"
• Lastly (and by no means least) in the way of industry "reads", if you haven't read Mike's great article, it will definitely make you think differently, especially if you an SEO shop.

Now, I have to share with you totally odd, funny or just plain out wierd sites and videos... come on now you didn't think I'd make you have to read all "Work" related sites did you? :)

• Did you know that Will Smith has a "thing" for the Rubick's cube?  Seriously, he does - his "thing" is that he can solve it in less than a minute.  Now if we could only get this Philly born "genius" away from Tom Cruise - anyone got a solution for that?
• If you follow me on Twitter, you know I complain about the snow (yes we had more today!), I'm wondering if I might be able to get this robot snowplow that poops snow bricks for our apartment complex, I just am not too keen on the "pikachu" look.
• So now for some guilty video pleasures, check out this neat Slow Motion Video and then I'm sure you'll all get a kick out of "Here Comes Another Bubble".  I will not take responsibility for Billy Joel singing in your head for hours after you watch that video either. :P

• I once stapled my finger to get out of a test in elementary school (shh! don't tell my mom), but never would I have thought of doing what this Mexican School Boy did!
