Hi I'm Li Evans of Search Marketing Gurus and KeyRelevance at Search Engine Strategies Toronto with Jim Hedger of... you've got three companies your with, so tell me them all.
Jim Hedger:
I'm pulling triple duty here, this time. I'm working with Metamend, I'm actually speaking on panels on behalf of Metamend. I'm a consultant to Enquisite and I'm here with Webmaster Radio.
Liana Evans:

What do you think about these Orion Panels that Search Engine Strategies is putting together?
Jim Hedger:
I think they are a lot of fun. I've only seen two of them so far, one in Chicago and one in New York. The production values were way high, the guest were great, the conversations were fun. It will be interesting to see if they can sustain them and what this one is going to be like.
Liana Evans:
I think with the crew they have listed for this one its going to be pretty interesting.
So you are speaking, and you are speaking on Beyond Link Bait, do you want to give me a little highlight of that?
Jim Hedger:
Sure, Beyond Linkbait, how to get a third hit of mentions online. My big secret to getting authoritative mentions online is participate. Be part of the community, add to forums add to discussion groups, get in there with Cre8a site. Add good value to the community and people will give it back to you time and time again. But if you aren't participating you aren't going to get mentioned.
Liana Evans:
Some great, great advice. So tell me about Metamend, the company you are working with.
Jim Hedger:
Metamend is an interesting search engine marketing company. Its one of the older ones, it was formed in 1998 by Richard Zwicky, who is now the president of Enquisite. Its been best practices search optimization firm for 10 years now. We are in our tenth year, we are growing really rapidly. We have more and more speakers going to events. We had one of our technical SEO's speaking at Developer Days at SMX two week ago in Seattle. I'm on two panels here, I also have a site clinic here tomorrow. Last session of the show, kind of like the gumbo session, but its going to be great fun.
Liana Evans:
They always are, lots of fun, get really good nuggets from them.
Jim Hedger:
Well not just that. When you are sitting on a site clinic panel, you have no idea what's coming at you next. You can't prepare for it. Its like doing a live interview, you have to be on your toes the whole time.
Liana Evans:
And we're not keeping you on your toes are we?
Jim Hedger:
Do I sound like I'm on my toes? No, this is early in the morning still. It's only 10:30 and anyone who's familiar with the conferences know that 10:30 is actually very early in the morning for us.
Liana Evans:
Yes, definitely!
